Charities We Support
The Alamo Area Browns Backers club is proud to support the Cleveland Browns Foundation, Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio, and the San Antonio Food Bank. We have also supported Ainsley’s Angels, the Bulverde Area Humane Society, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, breast cancer awareness and Give Us Paws.
In 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2019, the Cleveland Browns Foundation recognized the Alamo Area Browns Backers as the largest single contributor to their annual Foundation Fundraiser competition. Each year we have won, one of our members presented the Foundation with a donation check on behalf of the Browns Backers Worldwide organization. The presentation is done during half time at a designated home game. We were proud to represent the approximate 300 Browns Backers clubs in 14 different countries that constitute the Browns Backers Worldwide organization.
Thank you to everyone who has helped us to contribute to these worthy causes.
Cleveland Browns Foundation
(part of the “Browns Give Back” organization)
Mission Statement:
The Cleveland Browns Foundation is dedicated to taking a solution-based, holistic approach to ensure Northeast Ohio youth receive the development and education they need as a foundation for independence and success.
Habitat for Humanity of San Antonio
HFHSA works with low-income families who would not otherwise be able to afford a house. We partner with hardworking families in need and help them build affordable houses for themselves and their families at no interest and no profit. We are not a charity or a “handout” program, but rather we help families help themselves. We have built 1,000+ houses for families in need.

San Antonio Food Bank
The San Antonio Food Bank takes pride in fighting hunger, feeding hope in our 16 county service area. We believe that no child should go to bed hungry, adults should not have to choose between a hot meal and utilities, nor a senior sacrifice medical care for the sake of a meal.
Founded in 1980, The San Antonio Food Bank has quickly grown to serve 58,000 individuals a week in one of the largest service areas in Texas. Our focus is for clients to have food for today but to also have the resources to be self-sufficient in the future.
Fighting hunger is our number one priority but we also serve to educate and provide assistance in many other ways. We achieve this through our variety of programs and resources available to families, individuals, seniors, children, and military members in need.
Ainsley’s Angels in Texas-San Antonio
Mission Statement:
In addition to ensuring everyone can experience endurance events, Ainsley's Angels of America aims to build awareness about America's special needs community through inclusion in all aspects of life, by promoting awareness, providing education, and participating as active members in local communities.
Our local Ainsley’s Angels chapter has twice been the recipient of a $2,000 grant from the Cleveland Browns Foundation to allow them to buy specialized wheelchairs called “Freedom Chairs” to be used by individuals with special needs to allow them to participate in endurance events.
